Tech Tip :

This Balancer Bolt and Washer/Retainer are a Great Improvement over the Factory Pieces. The Stainless Steel Washer/Retainer is Thicker and has a Larger Outside Diameter. The Bolt is a Large Flanged Grade 8 Bolt.

This means : Greatly Improved Contact Area between the Washer/Retainer and the Harmonic Balancer Surface and a Substantial Improvement in Contact Area - Load Dispersal between the Bolt and the Washer/Retainer.

"No more Distorted /Gouged Washers"

==>> With two different sizes available, they will fit most Aftermarket Balancers. "ARP Washers won't fit some Balancers without Modification!!"

Tech Tip :

Allowing the Coolant to Flow from the Rear of the Cylinder Heads to the Front Coolant Crossover Area Helps to Eliminate Steam Pockets (Hot Spots) in the Cylinder Heads. Therefore Head Gaskets, Valve Seats, Piston Rings and Pistons Last Longer due to more Consistent Combustion Chamber Temperatures and a Reduction in Unwanted Detonation.

This Cam Gear Retainer is Machined from Solid Stainless Steel Rod and is Quite Thick. The Bolt is a Large Flange Grade 8 Bolt.

Compare this Retainer to the Mild Steel Retainers or the "Washers" that others are Selling. Compare this Flanged Grade 8 Bolt to the Bolts that others are Providing.

Tech Tip :

Whenever a Motor Plate is Mounted to the Front of the Timing Cover, the Possibility Exists that the Timing Cover may come loose over time. The Original "Split-Type" Timing Cover Dowels may allow for Timing Cover Movement which willl lead to Oil and Coolant Leaks.

These Solid Stainless Steel Dowels Eliminate that Possibility.

Tech Tip :

When Drilling and Tapping the Front of the Block, it's Important that the Pipe Plugs end up Flush with the Face of the Block when they're Fully Tightened. If the Pipe Plug is too Tall, the Possibility Exists that the Plug can Partially Block the Oil Passages that lead to the Main Bearing Journals. When Using these Shallow Plugs, the Block doesn't require Tapping as Deeply, therefore the Plug will not Block the Passages when Tightened Fully.

NOTE :

These Plugs can be Utilized in Aluminum Cylinder Heads that have the Same Freeze Plug Dimensions as a Cast Iron Cylinder Head.

1) Unlike the Standard Moroso, Mr.Gasket, etc. Restrictors on the Market, these are Designed/Sized to Restrict the Coolant Flow from the Front of the Cylinder Head Areas Only !!

2) These are Designed to be used in Conjuction with Two Coolant Lines that are Plumbed/Routed from the Rear of the Engine to a Point above this Restrictor. Such as into the Two Ports in our Water Outlet Manifold.
